Taco Bell actually went ahead and married a hungry couple
|Yeah, I’ll have a Crunchy Taco Supreme and one wedding please.
Dan Ryckert and Bianca Monda were the first couple to get married at Taco Bell’s Las Vegas Cantina flagship restaurant and the first couple the fast food chain has married.
The lucky couple was selected after sending in a 30-second video to enter the Love and Tacos Contest. In the video, they explained why they deserved to be wed surrounded by crunchy, spicy goodness, and expressed Dan’s adoration for the delicious chain.
He has ordered every single item on their menu and Bianca even took him to one of their beachside locations for his 32nd birthday.
Sounds like a great, cheap date.
And after all of that, Taco Bell chose the couple to come down to Sin City and tie the knot in front of a pair of running-for-the-border wedding bells.
Thankfully, the Vegas flagship store isn’t filled with hose-downable tables and chairs decorated with garish blues, pinks, and greens. It actually looks the tiniest bit classy.
Ryckert told Mashable that their friends and family were really supportive of their off-beat wedding choice, especially his dad who enjoys Taco Bell, Las Vegas, and “free stuff.”
“It was appropriately surreal. We’ve known for a couple of months that we won, but it was still crazy to be greeted with silver platters of quesadillas and gorditas minutes after being introduced for the first time as husband and wife. It was such a funny setting for the first meeting of our two families.”
If this sounds like something you would be into, it’s fairly easy to make happen (as long as you can make it to Vegas). Just walk up to the cashier and order yourself a wedding for the reasonable price of $600. Pretty simple. Besides the ceremony, this will also score you some matrimony-themed TB merch, a Taco 12 Pack, and a Cinnabon Delights cake for dessert.
Damn, who else is craving fast food now?
